Lucie K. Mercier is senior researcher in Philosophy at the University of Fribourg. She was previously appointed as Research Fellow and Lecturer at the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy (CRMEP), Kingston University, London (2016-2019), and was a Visiting Researcher at the Université Paris 8-St Denis and at UC Berkeley. (2020-2022). Her research examines how questions of race and coloniality interfere with the concepts, models and practices of philosophy and its history. Funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, her current project, “Fanon’s Critical Dramaturgy” analyses various forms of “dramaturgies” at work in the writings of Frantz Fanon (1925-1961) as they operate at the intersection of institutional psychotherapy, phenomenology and anti-colonial political thought.
