Jason K. Day is a PhD candidate in philosophy at the University of Fribourg. Here, he is conducting a phenomenological study of psychedelic experiences in terms of attention. He thereby aims to demonstrate how common it is for people to describe their psychedelic experiences in terms of attention, and that classifying and analysing these commonalities in attentional language use can answer the question of whether people have similar experiences when they take psychedelics. He has further research interests in anarchist philosophy and Buddhist philosophy. Day is a member of the SNSF research project Aesthetics and Ethics of Attention, committee member of the Psychedelic Research Organisation of Fribourg, and area editor for “Philosophy of Anarchism”at Philosophie.ch.
