Alessandro De Cesaris

Alessandro De Cesaris has studied Philosophy in Naples (Federico II), Turin (University of Turin), Freiburg i.Br. (Albert-Ludwigs Universit├Ąt) and Berlin (Humboldt, Technische Universit├Ąt). Right now he works as an assistant to the Chair for Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art at the University of Freiburg (Switzerland). He wrote his PhD dissertation on the notion of Singularity in Hegel’s logic, and right now he is working on a media-theoretical interpretation of Hegel’s philosophy. His main research fields are media philosophy and philosophy of technology, with a particular focus on the notion of “medium” and its meaning in the current debate.
