Gabriel Barroso studied in Rio de Janeiro and Freiburg, obtaining his doctorate in 2020 from the State University of Rio de Janeiro with a dissertation on the phenomenological concept of possibility in Heidegger and Husserl. From 2021 to 2023, he served as a research assistant at Bergische Universität Wuppertal and the Husserl-Archives Leuven and was a fellow of the DAAD-PRIME Program. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Fribourg, supported by the Swiss Excellence Scholarship of the Swiss Confederation. His primary research areas include phenomenology (covering Husserl, Heidegger, Fink, Merleau-Ponty, and Derrida) and classical German philosophy (such as Kant, Hegel, and Fichte). In his current work, he is exploring a phenomenological foundation for contemporary anthropology, particularly concerning the relationship between nature and culture.
