Rose van der Linden is a Research Associate and Lecturer in Cancer Epidemiology at the #PopHealthLab at the University of Fribourg. Her research focuses on cancer epidemiology, with particular interests in how social, occupational, and lifestyle factors shape cancer outcomes across the life course, including incidence, mortality, survival, and survivorship.

After completing degrees in Health Sciences and Health Sciences Research, with a specialization in clinical epidemiology, at Maastricht University, she obtained a PhD in Demography from the University of Geneva as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network LONGPOP. She subsequently received a Swiss National Science Foundation Early Postdoc.Mobility fellowship to conduct research at the University of Pennsylvania.

Her work leverages longitudinal cohort studies and cancer registry data to advance population-based cancer research. Current projects focus on occupational and social inequalities in cancer, cancer surveillance, and the long-term health and wellbeing of cancer survivors.
