Nazihah Noor

Nazihah Noor is a PhD student at the #PopHealthLab at the University of Fribourg. She holds a Master of Public Health and a BSc in Biomedical Science, specializing in Global Health, both from Imperial College London, UK. Previously, she worked as a public health and policy researcher at the Khazanah Research Institute and the ASEAN Research Centre in Malaysia. Her past research projects included issues spanning health and social inequalities, social protection, and gender inequality. She also served as a research officer to the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Special Advisor on Public Health to provide policy recommendations on Covid-19 response and long-term health reform for Malaysia. Her PhD project focuses on early life social and lifestyle risk factors for developing chronic diseases. This project is part of a grant awarded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
