Stefano Tancredi, MD

Stefano Tancredi, MD, is a public health specialist and PhD student at the #PopHealthLab. He trained in public health at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, working as part of the Medical Director’s staff at the Teaching Hospital of Modena and as a public health physician at the Public Health Department of the AUSL of Modena. Since 2023, he has also been working as an epidemiologist at the Observatoire Valaisan de Santé (OVS) in Sion, where he supervises health surveillance activities.

Stefano’s PhD project focuses on population health monitoring and surveillance bias.  Specifically, he aims to provide a clear and comprehensive definition of surveillance bias and to estimate its impact by focusing on two conditions: coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and cancer.
