Stefano Tancredi, MD PhD
Stefano Tancredi is a physician specialized in public health, chief epidemiologist at the Observatoire valaisan de la santé in Sion (90%), and scientific collaborator (10%) at the Population Health Laboratory (#PopHealthLab) of the University of Fribourg. He completed his residency in public health at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy) and holds a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). During his PhD, he studied the role of surveillance bias in public health surveillance, focusing on COVID-19 and cancer. As an epidemiologist, he works on monitoring population health and quality of care in the Canton of Valais. His current research at the #PopHealthLab focuses on population health monitoring, surveillance bias, and quality of care.
