He completed his residency in public health at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy) and holds a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). During his PhD, he studied the role of surveillance bias in public health surveillance, focusing on COVID-19 and cancer. As an epidemiologist, he works on monitoring population health and quality of care in the Canton of Valais.
