  • After-school childcare (AES) is a childcare solution during the day outside of school hours.
  • Holiday passports and children's camps offer activities adjusted to different ages during the school holidays; registration is necessary and places are limited.

AES in the town of Fribourg

 

  • After-school childcare in the town of Fribourg offers six childcare facilities outside of school hours, from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with lunch included.
  • The AES is targeted at children attending public schools in the town of Fribourg, from class 1H to 8H.
  • Registration is valid for one school year and must be renewed each year.
  • The AES remains open during school holidays.
  • It offers various creative and craft activities and promotes learning about social and community life through rules of conduct and respect for shared values.

The Fédération Fribourgeoise des Accueils Extrascolaires is an association that covers after-school childcare in the canton of Fribourg.

Find the AES closest to your home in the canton's communes (classified in alphabetical order). The opening hours and conditions of access during the school holidays are mentioned for each AES.

Holidays

Holiday passport

The holiday passport offers a programme of activities to children and young people from the ages of 6 to 16 during the summer holidays, in general in July and August. Depending on the region, holiday passports also exist during other school holidays, for example in the autumn break.

The principal: children and young people can register for several activities, depending on the number of places available. The passport is personal to each child and grants access to activities, as well as other services.

Camps and activities

A large range of varied and adapted activities are organised for children and young people during the school holidays: holiday camps, music camps, robotics workshops, sports camps, etc.

The programmes can be for one day or a week and vary from one region to another.

 

 

 

Nature camps are also possible with the wwf.

Farm stays exist in several regions in Switzerland with agriviva.

Language trips are organised for children above the age of 9 with efswiss.

Immersion programmes to learn a language are offered for 11 to 18 year olds with  movetia.
